Annapurna Base Camp (the Annapurna Sanctuary) is a glacial basin ringed by a near-complete circle of Himalayan giants at around 4,130 m. The week-long teahouse trek from Pokhara climbs through villages, bamboo forest and rhododendron before opening into the amphitheatre. It is one of Nepal's most rewarding moderate treks.
